Aswaaq Misr Signs Strategic Partnership with Green Me Limited to Accelerate Green Finance

eAswaaq Misr, a subsidiary of eFinance Investment Group, announced the signing of a strategic partnership with Green Me Limited to launch and activate the “Green Egypt” digital platform dedicated to the industrial sectors in the Egyptian market.

The platform is designed to accelerate digital lending for green and sustainable projects by introducing innovative mechanisms to assess project eligibility against clear indicators based on internationally recognized development finance standards. It will also facilitate project evaluation, ongoing monitoring, and matching with the most suitable financing products, contributing to the development of Egypt’s sustainable finance ecosystem.

The partnership comes at a time when Egypt is rapidly advancing its strategic transition toward clean and renewable energy in line with Egypt Vision 2030 and the country’s international commitments to achieving carbon neutrality. Leveraging its significant potential in solar and wind energy, Egypt continues to strengthen its position as a leading regional and international destination for climate finance investments.

The partnership also aims to transform the green finance sector by enhancing transparency, strengthening the confidence of financial institutions and investors, and enabling data-driven investment decisions. In addition, it seeks to accelerate financing for renewable energy projects, reduce financing costs, and unlock new international funding channels for green hydrogen and energy efficiency projects.

Aliaa Younis, Founder & CEO of Green Me Limited, said: “Aligned with our vision to support the transition to a green economy, we at Green Me Limited believe technology plays a pivotal role in enabling businesses and projects to achieve sustainability frameworks efficiently and transparently. Our partnership with eAswaaq Misr is a strategic step toward building an integrated digital ecosystem that accelerates green finance flows and aligns them with real market needs, supporting Egypt’s sustainable development goals and strengthening private sector readiness for a low-carbon economy.”

Adel Mubarak, CEO of eAswaaq Misr, stated: “This partnership marks an important milestone in eAswaaq Misr’s journey to support Egypt’s transition to a green economy. Through the launch of the ‘Green Me Egypt’ platform, we aim to harness digital innovation to bridge the gap between finance and sustainability, enabling faster and more transparent funding for impactful projects. We are proud to partner with Green Me Limited in building a comprehensive ecosystem that connects capital with environmental and social value, while opening new horizons for climate finance investment in Egypt.”

Ibrahim Sarhan, Chairman & CEO of eFinance Investment Group, added: “This agreement represents a new step in eAswaaq Misr’s mission to help establish a market for small and medium-sized enterprises, facilitating access to green finance in full regulatory alignment with the Central Bank of Egypt and the Financial Regulatory Authority.”

Islam Mamoun, CEO of eAswaaq, one of EFIG’s subsidiaries, revealed that the company has completed the first model in the mechanization process at the National Museum of the Egyptian Civilization, which has received great success since it’s opening, noting that it has also been applied in the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir and electronic gates are currently being added in preparation for their launch by the Minister of Tourism

Mamoun added that the company is also currently working on completing the 9 sites within the first phase of the project in “Hurghada, Sharm El-Sheikh, Islamic, Coptic, Haram, Citadel, and Saqqara” to be completed before the end of the year, and start mechanization in Luxor and then Aswan, provided that the development operations are fully completed within 7 months.

The project allows Egyptian and foreign visitors to book tickets for tourist attractions, museums and archaeological sites online and pay using credit cards or wallets via mobile, in addition to organizing access to these attractions through printed tickets, magnetic cards or through the use of a QR code on mobile devices.

He pointed out that the “Experience Egypt” application, which is being launched in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, is currently being completed and expected to be launched during the beginning of the last quarter of this year, as it allows it’s user to obtain the necessary information about Egypt and the sites that can be visited, as well as the possibility of booking tickets through it.
