Delegation from Ministry of Local Development Launches “Ayady Misr” Platform in New Valley Governorate

May, 2023, Mrs. Hanan Magdy, Deputy Governor of New Valley Governorate, hosted a delegation from the Ministry of Local Development and eAswaaq misr for the launch of “Ayady Misr” platform. The purpose of the platform is to market and promote local handicraft and heritage products as well as support the craftsmen sector in the governorate.

During the meeting with producers, Deputy Governor emphasized that “Ayady Misr” platform serves as an essential e-marketing mechanism for handcraft products. It enables artisans to conveniently reach customers and eliminates the need to physically market their goods outside of the governorate. She also emphasized that the project goes beyond enhancing marketing opportunities, it provides training to producers, aiming to improve product quality and equipping them with the necessary skills to effectively utilize and manage their accounts on the platform.

In addition to the discussions, Mrs. Hanan Magdy toured an exhibition showcasing a variety of handicrafts and heritage products, where she commended the exceptional quality and competitiveness of the exhibits, highlighting their potential to penetrate foreign markets and expand the governorate’s product reach.

“Ayady Misr” platform serves as a dedicated avenue for promoting these unique products, both domestically and internationally. It also organizes continuous exhibitions specialized for handcrafts, presenting opportunities to increase sales and explore new avenues for youth and women.

The launch of “Ayady Misr” platform marks a significant step forward in empowering local craftsmen, preserving cultural heritage in New Valley governorate and expanding market opportunities.
