In a significant development towards promoting sustainable practices in the agricultural sector, “eAswaaq Misr” and Engazaat have joined forces to integrate renewable energy services and products for farmers on “Agri Misr e-commerce platform”. This collaboration, formalized through an agreement signed during the Solar Mena Show on May 9/10, seeks to popularize the adoption of clean and solar energy, as well as smart irrigation techniques, in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 for sustainable development and a green economy. Leveraging e-commerce technology through “Agri Egypt” platform, this initiative aims to enable farmers to access and utilize sustainable utility technology and applications, contributing to a more environmentally friendly agricultural landscape.
Agri Misr platform has expanded its offerings to include a wide range of products from Engazaat, a leading independent operator of energy and water solutions, and the authorized distributor of Chint Global in Egypt and Africa. Farmers can now access Engazaat’s top-notch products, such as solar panels, oscillators, pumps, and modern irrigation systems, through the platform. With installments over 5 years and only a 20% down payment, Agri Misr is enabling farmers to conveniently purchase these high-quality products while benefiting from flexible payment options.
“Agri Misr” platform also provides value-added services to all farmers and distributors throughout the country, with delivery and logistical support to enable farmers, contractors, and installation service providers to obtain the finest products at the installation site directly at the best prices for installments and payment through the e-financing system “fintech” that it provides to all farmers and distributors (B2B and B2C).
Islam Mamoun, the CEO & Managing Director of eAswaaq Misr, expressed the company’s firm commitment to bolstering the agricultural sector by leveraging cutting-edge digital transformation technologies, e-commerce and sustainable practices like clean, renewable solar energy, along with advanced irrigation systems in collaboration with “Engazaat”. Mr. Mamoun emphasized that this partnership plays a crucial role in alleviating the financial and logistical burden faced by farmers while also reducing reliance on fossil fuels in agriculture. The aim is to optimize agricultural productivity and maximize returns for farmers while harnessing the power of e-commerce technology and digital transformation as essential tools to attract farmers seeking innovation and progress.
